London Bridges CRASHING Down...

Life has been a whirlwind lately! It seems like everything is just circling around me like in the Wizard of Oz when Dorothy and the house are inside the tornado and there is debris and items flying all around. I'm simply waiting for the tornado to subside and everything to come crashing down on top of me.

On the brighter side of things...our garden did amazing. Our yield was so much more than we ever thought. We had zucchini and tomatoes growing all over like weeds. The jalapenos grew wonderfully and we got about 2 dozen off just one plant. Can't wait to get the salsa canned. I got 6 pumpkins that we had to pick early so that they didn't freeze so for now they are sitting on our porch and I am hoping they ripen so I am able to can some pumpkin. All in all we didn't do too shabby for beginners.

Yup! Those are ALL tomatoes from the garden!!

All off of one plant!

This is just ONE of our pickings!

The house plans are on hold for now. We had the house all picked out and were on the verge of being approved when they happened to mention the monthly payment they could get us approved at. That's when we politely declined. It was ridiculous. Sadly had we not had to pay mortgage insurance, it would have been perfect. Oh well. Come spring we are going to attempt again. We will just have to take a different route. For now I have decided to settle for simply repainting the kitchen and bathroom in the rental house we are in now. Kyle is excited to help. ;)

I have to admit I'm kinda cheesy but I am sort of stoked about getting new tires on my car tomorrow. It is not actually by choice. We went to dinner with friends last night and when we came out of the restaurant we came to find my rear driver side tire flat. Completely flat. The flat was not a huge surprise because the tires that are currently on my car are a used set that were very graciously given to us by Kyle's brother-in-law and they were somewhat weather worn but we had hoped they would cover me until winter. Not so much. So after realizing there aren't even the correct tools in my vehicle to remove my spare tire and therefor replacing my flat tire with a mismatch tire and rim, it became obvious it was due time to spend some dough on the ride. Hence the new tires for me. I am not excited to pay for them, but I am excited to have brand new tires.

I am pretty bummed about summer going so quickly. We didn't get too much playing in but it sure was a nice summer. The weather, once it warmed up, was wonderful most of the summer. Fall is definitely a wonderful time of year too so I am hoping to get a chance to enjoy it a bit before the snow flies again as well. Got my fall decor up and crossing my fingers that I get at least a few trick or treaters!

We gotta in a tad bit of rodeo.

Made a stop at the state fair.

I got me a much needed ride in w/my good friend Mariann.

Kyle gotta work old Bertha a lil.

We even got all the hay stacked for the winter.
